Tower Road - Pavilion style home

Initially a remodel, the brief was refined given the clients hopesand dreams for the site. Originally a 1930s bungalow, it was clear that a new build in this contemporary style was the way to go. Emphasis for the client was design, light, space and energy. Our design allowed for large open plan spaces, floor to ceiling windows throughout and energy efficiency at the heart. The scheme was masonry construction with extra wide cavities, with more insulation. The flat roof houses solar panels which linked to a battery. MVHR was used throughout to enable a very good EPC rating. A clear connection to the garden was also top of the design brief, so level thresholds and extended canopies to blur the lines between inside and outside.
